Arkansas

Two hitmen follow the orders of a drug lord, but a bad deal leads to deadly consequences.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

'Arkansas' is the typical movie involving drug cartels, intrigue and unexpected situations. There's a lot of shooting and running; a dry setting, typical of the American Midwest; and classic characters of the genre, which bring twists in their own attitudes and speeches. It's a mix of 'Breaking Bad', 'Angels of Law' and films by the Coen brothers, in which director Clark Duke and screenwriter Andrew Boonkrong (who worked together on the short 'Show Business') don't try to reinvent the genre or bring new parameters to this type of story. It's something that will mainly appeal to those who already like these arid films about drug cartels. Even more so because of the heavyweight cast, with Liam Hemsworth ('The Hunger Games'), Vince Vaughn ('Confrontation at Pavilion 99') and John Malkovich ('Being John Malkovich').
