Rebels

A woman returns to her childhood city and accidentally kills a colleague who attacked her.

Why watch this film?

Just like 'Finalmente Livres', this French comedy directed by Allan Mauduit (co-director of the weak 'Vilaine') uses American productions of the genre to make people laugh -- even though parodying some of the situations, it is worth noting. After all, 'Rebelles' uses absurd and sometimes bizarre situations to cause discomfort and provoke the viewer to think about machismo and abuse in the workplace. Mauduit, being a man, does not understand everything he is talking about and sometimes goes too far, like the scene of the severed member. Nevertheless, it is still a funny comedy and outside of France's standards to talk about the importance of female unity.
