Why watch this film?

Gone In 60 Seconds is a typical Nicolas Cage movie that is exhaustively replayed on late night TV, but never loses its charm. After all, it couldn't be more fun. The plot, commanded by the competent Dominic Sena (from 'Swordfish'), follows a group of car thieves (led by Cage, of course) who must steal an exact amount of vehicles to pay off a debt. All, of course, in a very limited time. Although overflowing with absurd action scenes, such as when Nicolas Cage smiles at a child while driving a car in reverse at high speed, 'Gone In 60 Seconds' is one of those stories that can entertain and still bring a smile at the end. In addition to Cage, the film features a then-beginning Angelina Jolie, who still had a career heavily based on films with higher physical demands and without great scripts.
