Why watch this film?

Since 2013, when protests gained strength in Brazil, it is common to see cases of police officers assaulting protesters without apparent motive. There are rubber bullets, tear gas bombs and direct assaults. 'Marcha Cega', a documentary by Gabriel Giacomo, analyzes a series of protests that have taken place in Brazil in recent years and shows the effects of police brutality on individuals. These are wounded people who show their pain and difficulty in expressing themselves in a country that represses those who take to the streets in search of rights and collective achievements. It is a strong film, with scenes that have been marked in the fight for rights in Brazil, and that tries to find the roots of this serious national problem through good stories and interviews.
