Norse gods Thor and Loki have gained popular contours due to Marvel comics and subsequent movie adaptation with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston playing the two deities, respectively. Now it's time for the Norse themselves to give their own take on these two important figures. In 'Valhalla', a Danish fantasy production, the viewer is invited to embark on the adventure of two Viking children who, alongside Thor and Loki, will explore the divine land of Valhalla. Although the effects do not match what was seen in the 'Thor' movies, which have an astronomical budget, it is difficult not to savor the journey proposed by director and screenwriter Fenar Ahmad (from the powerful 'Warrior of Darkness'), which finally puts the deities of the Nordic countries from the perspective of their own people. Plot summary
The Viking children Røskva and Tjalfe embark on an adventurous journey from Midgard to Valhalla with the gods Thor and Loki. Life in Valhalla, however, turns out to be threatened by the dreaded Fenrir wolf and the god's barbaric archenemies, the Jotnar. Side by side with the gods the two children must fight to save Valhalla from the end of the world - Ragnarok.

The Book of Clarence
Biblical epics in the style of Ben-Hur are so recognizable in classic cinema that they have been the subject of witty parodies (most notably, the also classic Monty Python's Life of Brian). Here, director Jeymes Samuel (The Harder They Fall) filters the conventions of these films through a black lens, with a cast led by names like Lakeith Stanfield, Alfre Woodard, David Oyelowo, Omar Sy, and Anna Diop, among others. The Book of Clarence follows a man who, aspiring to be someone in life, decides to capitalize on the popularity of Jesus of Nazareth for his own benefit. Through the biblical cliché, the film examines issues such as black identity, the distortion of faith by organized religions, and the very sense of goodness and compassion. It's somewhat uneven but nonetheless entertaining.
