Why watch this film?
Many things mark a marriage. Music, movies, restaurants and, of course, travel. In 'About Us', the new film by filmmaker Stefan Schwartz (of series like 'The Boys' and 'NOS4A2'), the viewer is invited to embark on the journey of a couple who, almost a decade later, decide to return to the Honeymoon destination. Seeking to find that old harmony, the couple shows how the pitfalls of life affect a marriage. The highlight here goes to the dialogues of Ross McCall's script which, like in Richard Linklater's 'Before' trilogy, ends up being the main conductor for the viewer to understand and comprehend the journey of husband and wife. But it is worth saying: perhaps this production makes more sense for those who have already gone through longer relationships, since it speaks with intimate and personal feelings that only those who have lived a lasting love may understand.

How to Date Billy Walsh
There's a reason why, despite being so repetitive, teen romantic comedies like Clueless work so well: we've all been there, somehow. The plot of How to Date Billy Walsh is set in Britain, but follows the same formula as many other similar proposals from the United States: a guy, Archie, has been friends with Amelia since childhood, but secretly loves her. However, when he finally gathers the courage to confess, she falls for Billie Walsh, a handsome and athletic exchange student. The story is predictable and, except for a Netflix Sex Education-like layer of paint, there's not much new. However, it's a good contender for a Gen Z classic.
The Taste of Things
From Vietnamese-French director Anh Hung Tran (The Scent of Green Papaya) and starring the legendary Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel, The Taste of Things was France's selection for the 2024 Oscars, although it was not nominated. Set in 1889 and based on the character of Dodin-Bouffant created by Marcel Rouff, the story follows a chef (Magimel) enchanted by his cook (Binoche), for whom he feels not only culinary admiration, but genuine love. However, she is not ready to take the step into marriage and is happy and content with the relationship they have. Sensual in its visuality and narrative, it is a powerful story of love and about love, which, while not entirely breaking free from conventions, is elevated by the formidable talent of its protagonists.
Me Before You
Young and quirky Louisa "Lou" Clark moves from one job to the next to help her family make ends meet. Her cheerful attitude is put to the test when she becomes a caregiver for Will Traynor, a wealthy young banker left paralyzed from an accident two years earlier. Will's cynical outlook starts to change when Louisa shows him that life is worth living. As their bond deepens, their lives and hearts change in ways neither one could have imagined.
