Das Forum - Rettet Davos die Welt? The Davos Economic Forum has over time become one of the world's biggest references for political and economic debates. After all, each year in this small Swiss town, the world's greatest leaders and presidents gather to discuss society, politics, economics, environment, among other things. In 'Das Forum', filmmaker Marcus Vetter (of 'The Promise') gains unprecedented access to the backstage of this global event. Thus, for almost two hours, the documentary allows the viewer to take a peek through the keyhole of the Economic Forum. It is possible, among other things, to see the actions taken by one of the Greenpeace executives, Trump's reaction to company presidents, Jair Bolsonaro's total lack of composure in negotiations and conversations, and, of course, the hostile atmosphere that was installed in Davos in the 2020 edition. All this, moreover, with frank and frequent interviews from the founder of the Forum, Klaus Martin Schwab. A direct and sincere dive into the backstage of international politics. A feast for those who like to understand how the world develops and makes politics.

Girls State
Directing duo Amanda McBaine and Jesse Moss, known for the award-winning documentary Boys State, return now for Girls State. But it would be a mistake to say it's just a female version of the first documentary. Through a select group of girls participating in a federal government simulation in Missouri, this film reveals, firstly, how American politics operates. But secondly, and more importantly, it explores how an environment supposedly empowering girls can both propel and limit them at the same time, raising questions about what we understand about power and the ways to exercise it.
Earth Protectors
Documentaries about the climate crisis are never too many, but sometimes it can be challenging to find one that presents its arguments in a different and memorable way. Earth Protectors is a worthy attempt. Directed by French artist and environmental activist Anne de Carbuccia, it artistically documents her 10-year journey around the world exploring the impact of climate change in various countries, as well as the solutions undertaken to empower global citizens and address the crisis. At times, de Carbuccia and her works take more prominence than necessary, but she manages to present vital information.
