Why watch this film?

Jean Seberg (Kristen Stewart) was one of the most influential, talented, and complex actresses in cinematic history. Known for her roles in the films 'Breathless' and 'Saint Joan', the American star managed to blend various roles in cinema with a strong presence in racial and social issues. And it is about the intersection of these two points that the feature film 'Seberg' focuses on, which talks about the actress's relationship with the Black Panthers movement and the resulting espionage she suffers from the government. Directed by Benedict Andrews (from the good 'Una'), 'Seberg' cannot be labeled as obvious or uninteresting. Just like 'Judy', the story brings little-known moments of a global movie star and, with that, it is important. It is interesting to dive into Seberg's political activism and, above all, the paranoia that grows with the actress during the period. It could have been a little more daring in format and narrative, just like Seberg was. The square style ends up going against the actress. But still, it can be a good entry into the world of the star.
