Why watch this film?
An Argentine comedy about a man who has two families and uses the same routine every week to see both wives and children, but things get complicated. It's not the most original story in the world, the same premise has already been seen in 'Confusions Amorosas' (2003) and also in 'Women on the Attack' (2014), but still, it's worth watching. The movie is funny, it talks about female unity, revenge and also about knowing how to deal with impulses. Despite the theme, it's a light production and guarantees good laughs.

Directed by Marcos Carnevale ('Elsa & Fred'), 'No soy tu mami' is an Argentine production with a central theme of enormous relevance to contemporary women, whose freedom of choice regarding romantic life and maternity is constantly questioned by traditional social pressures. This in itself puts it a bit above typical popular comedies, but it has to be said, the movie ultimately falls into some clichés as contradictory and paradoxical as the worries of its main character. Therefore, although it is well directed and entertaining, it is a production that is finally less subversive than it appears.

It's a typical story of someone who, disappointed with their profession, a love or life in general, decides to retreat and go back home to think about life. 'Granizo', an Argentine feature film exclusive to Netflix, follows this exact path: it tells the story of a famous meteorologist who returns to his hometown after receiving a barrage of criticism for not predicting a terrible storm and begins a journey of self-discovery. Although it uses some obvious clichés of this rediscovery cinema, 'Granizo' has a different protagonist, who moves well between drama and comedy, has good humanity creation around him and makes it easy to identify with.
