Keep Going

A mother and son trek through challenging landscapes to reconnect and find new rapport.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Based on the eponymous novel by Laurent Mauvignier and directed by Belgian filmmaker Joachim Lafosse (‘Perder la razón’), ‘Continuar’ could be defined as a “road movie” or “road trip film”, but on horseback. Aside from the roads themselves, the conventions of this subgenre are all here, with two somewhat disparate characters starting to re-encounter themselves and to connect with each other while they traverse a journey through new territories which also transforms them internally, with the particularity of presenting the changing relationship between a mother and her teenage son. Selected in a special section of the 2018 Venice Film Festival.
