Why watch this film?
Hannah is the star of a home renovation show, in the style of 'Property Brothers'. Despite the success of the show, she is sent back to her hometown to renovate a mansion. And it is from there that director Steven R. Monroe (of the horror 'Sweet Vengeance') begins to use genre clichés to build this love story. Those who think these clichés are bad or something like that are wrong. Although it does not bring originality or great moments, 'Love in Design' is one of those light films, to watch on a rainy day, thinking about life, love and other things like that. For sure, it won't change your life. But it will make it lighter and more romantic.

Plot summary
A Hallmark original movie. In need of a shakeup on her home-makeover TV show, star Hannah is sent to her small New England hometown to renovate the historical Lewisburg Manor. When old flame Jeff is assigned to make sure Hannah's design preserves the historical manor, the two must find harmony between the old and the new.

And that's exactly what we find in the charming movie 'Love to the Rescue'. Although it appeals to the traditional aesthetic of the American Hallmark channel, with happy white people looking for a harmonious relationship, the feature film knows how to play with our feelings and cause that genuine emotion of a shared love on the screen. It has its problems and limitations, of course. But the magic is here.
