Why watch this film?

Movies about and featuring choirs are always emotional. 'Sister Act' is exciting, 'The Choir' is breathtaking, and 'Song for Marion' will make you cry buckets - with standout performances from Terence Stamp and Gemma Arterton. Another movie that deserves a mention is 'Military Wives', an interesting British feature about a group of wives of military personnel sent to war who form a choir. Although not as memorable as the others mentioned, the plot is thrilling and features a spot-on performance from Kristin Scott Thomas ('The English Patient'), who knows how to navigate between melodrama, musical and comedy perfectly. It's an ideal film for those who get excited by musical plots and, above all, enjoy spending a good time watching an emotional, uplifting story that will leave you with a smile on your face.
