This is John James' debut film as director, writer and producer. With the documentary, it is clear that he was able to delve into the personal side of the main character, Luis Miranda, and his family, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, who became famous with the musical 'Hamilton'. In addition to exploring the protagonist's political career, the production revolves around the father and son's attempt to bring the play 'Hamilton' to Puerto Rico in order to raise funds after the country's devastation caused by Hurricane Maria in the fall of 2017. The documentary is a fun portrait of the interesting political figure of Luis Miranda and also a rich content about New York and Puerto Rico.
