Why watch this film?
The story of King Arthur has already had several reinterpretations and facelifts. There are classic interpretations ('Excalibur', 'Camelot'), going through action movies ('Dragonheart', 'King Arthur') and even reaching children's interpretations, such as 'Dragonheart' and the classic animation 'The Sword in the Stone'. Even though it is one of the least celebrated films of the Disney "golden age", the children's movie simplifies the relationship between Arthur and the sword embedded in the stone. The figure of Merlin gains even more projection, becoming that beloved old wise man who inhabits the minds and hearts of several generations -- going from his figure, passing through Gandalf to arriving at Dumbledore. It is not a perfect or memorable film. However, director Wolfgang Reitherman manages to bring emotion and adventure in precise doses in this story full of good moments.

"The Jungle Book" is a celebration of nature and friendship between humans and animals, with lush scenery and captivating characters. It's worth it for the fun moments accompanied by music and dances as well as the valuable lessons from the panther Baghera and the bear Balu. Great movie for those who like stories of friendship and nature. Disney classic that has been enchanting generations since 1967.
Robin Hood
'Robin Hood' is not considered one of Disney's best movies - and neither have its live-action adaptations gone very well. Despite this, the studio gave a new face to the English hero, who stole from the nobility to give to the poor. The story brings up good questions about politics, society and class struggle, putting it in a children's movie is a hit. The narrative of the Prince of Thieves reaches the animal kingdom through the creative mind of director Wolfgang Reitherman. The movie may not have pleased many people, but it does have its merits.
The Aristocats
One of the essential and favorite animations for cat fans (no doubt!) 'The Aristo Cats' has an art style similar to '101 Dalmatians' and the visuals look like a sketch, very common in many Disney movies - which can please some and displease others. With humor, adventure and a well-written script, it is one of the Mickey Mouse studio classics. This was one of my favorite Disney movies when I was a child. However, I was uncomfortable when I watched as an adult and was shocked by the stereotypes of Orientals that the production brings with a Siamese cat. Despite this, it is a relevant movie to show how animations have evolved and left certain caricatures (and racist content) aside.
The Rescuers
Unjustly overlooked, 'The Rescuers' is more widely known for a brief glimpse of a nude woman in a window -- which was later removed from subsequent releases. Far from this stigma, 'The Rescuers' is an unassuming adventure of two mice who work rescuing those in need. In this first outing of the duo, from 1977, the audience is invited to join Bernard and Bianca on their mission to save a small and helpless orphan. It's a simple movie, without many innovations from its trio of directors, but it should still be entertaining and get the little ones excited about this sincere story.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
Masha and the Bear: Twice the Fun
Masha leaves the forest in pursuit of an adventure in the city, where she encounters many unexpected situations and surprises while attending a wedding, and later seeks to do everything in her power to save Christmas.
