Why watch this film?

Selected at the Morelia International Film Festival 2019 and nominated for the Ariel Award 2020 for Best Feature Documentary, 'Vaquero del mediodía' is a film by journalist and filmmaker Diego Enrique Osorno (director of 'El alcalde', 'La muñeca tetona', co-writer of 'La libertad del Diablo' with Everardo González). Starting from the director's personal interest in finding poet Samuel Noyola - a personal friend - the documentary takes the appropriate journalistic distance, but with the necessary multiplicity of perspectives, to paint a rich and well-rounded portrait of a literary character as beloved as he was controversial among those who knew him, from the personal to the artistic. A fascinating search that leads through the myth of the cursed artist.
