Trailer

Why watch this film?

The Theme: The anarchic Grumpy, who hates happiness, casts a spell over Princess Dawn's village and submerges it into a state of sadness. She manages to escape and with the help of a boy from Earth, Terry Dexter, she sets off on a quest to find the crystal key that will free her people from the curse, all while the bearded character pursues them riding his green dragon. Grumpy is a clear representation of toxic people who suck the happiness out of those around them. Fans of the 70s series had to wait almost 40 years to encounter Grumpy again and the result does not disappoint. With 'Here Comes Grumpy', a new generation of young people will become fans of this revived animation, brought back to life by a Mexican. In the Spanish version, the voices are Camila Sodi ('How to Cut Your Loser' and Mauricio Barrientos ('Mentada de Padre').

Plot summary

Balloon kingdoms, dopey police dragons and happy wizards are exactly how Terry remembered his Grandmother's wacky fairy tales. Except they are real and it's definitely not as 'cheerful.'
