Why watch this film?

After a successful series in 2011, 'Divã' was adapted for the cinema with Lilia Cabral herself as the protagonist. Director José Alvarenga Jr. ('Intimacy Between Strangers') returns to Martha Medeiros' novel to tell the story of Mercedes, a woman in her 40s who decides to go to a psychoanalyst and this ends up triggering great changes in her life. Comedy tailored for 40+, the story is light, without any histrionic and exaggerated acting. Everything is well controlled and well dosed, leaving anyone with a smile at the end of the projection. Absolute highlight for Lília Cabral, in one of the best roles of her career.
