Delicadeza é Azul

A new look at Autism Spectrum Disorder through interviews with children, families, and experts.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Repeating the formula of the good Brazilian documentary 'In an Inner World', the Brazilian feature film 'Delicacy is Blue' seeks to understand, inform and transcend what it is to be on the autistic spectrum. Through various interviews with experts, parents, doctors, therapists and the patients themselves, the film addresses various issues and, above all, breaks paradigms, wrong information and preconceptions about the condition. It's a shame, however, that it can't go beyond this same formula already seen in the aforementioned 'In an Inner World', with successive interviews, some good insertions from day to day and nothing more. There are even some attempts by the directors to go further, with interviews with experts in senses (a head chef and Ney Matogrosso, for example), but the result is not the expected one. Still, it's worth it for the valuable information so well treated. There is sensitivity.
