Why watch this film?
Interesting mix of suspense and supernatural horror, 'The Empty Man' is one of those productions that drastically divide opinions. You either love it or hate it. After all, the journey of a retired police officer who investigates some disappearances and ends up bumping into a supernatural entity is a bit overused. And director David Prior doesn't seem to hide this repetitive aspect, abusing clichés throughout the narrative. Worst of all, there is a total lack of cohesion in the story, which ends up becoming dragged out and tiring - with a script that, at certain moments, seems to have been written by two completely different people. Still, some people may embark on the scares and investigation. Just turn off your mind a bit and understand that it's a plot with its limitations and, who knows, have fun.
On the trail of a missing girl, an ex-cop comes across a secretive group attempting to summon a terrifying supernatural entity.
