Why watch this film?

A delicate short film about a project from feminist filmmaker Barbara Hammer, who passed away in 2019. Director Lynne Sachs dives deeply into Hammer's mind through readings of her diary and images of nature. It is an experimental work that focuses on the small reflections we make throughout life and catalog in our minds. 'A Month of Single Frames' literally seems to be transmitting thoughts to the physical plane and this work was very well structured by Hammer, who was able to capture this abstract feeling and make a film.
