An ambitious Latvian butcher seeks a better life in Brussels but falls under the influence of a Polish criminal.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

This movie has strong religious and political allegories, such as the allusion to the sacrifice of a lamb. In the plot, a young butcher born in Latvia goes to Brussels in the hope of having a better life. In a different and completely alone country, he ends up getting involved with a Polish criminal. Filmed in 2019, the production weaves a criticism of Brexit (the UK's exit from the European Union) and the European Union, with the lack of jobs that already plagued Europe even before the agreement was put on paper.
