Why watch this film?
Ferry, the namesake of the new Belgian-Dutch Netflix exclusive feature film, is a tough guy. After all, he is one of the main henchmen of Ralph Brink, a powerful drug lord. However, while everything was going well, part of his mentor's gang suffers a robbery and Ralph's son gets injured. That's when the titular character is summoned to return to his hometown, in a nearby province, to find the culprits. Director Cecilia Verheyden plays with the stereotypes of this brave guy all the time, showing breaks of prejudices and expectations. Despite an unconvincing romance and a somewhat exaggerated romanticization of Ferry's figure, it is undoubtedly a beautiful drama about reunions and self-understanding. An unconventional dramatic film.

Plot summary
