Why watch this film?

With its premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, 'Together Together' is the kind of comedy that, in a mature and entertaining way, manages to challenge traditional concepts on topics like motherhood and fatherhood, love, and romantic relationships, which in a comedy directed by less capable hands would remain only in mockery or parody. Directed by Nikole Beckwith ('Stockholm, Pennsylvania'), the film tackles issues such as surrogate pregnancy, single parenthood, and all the tangle of expectations and implications that come with them. Ed Helms stars in a surprisingly mature role compared to his 'The Hangover', paired with Patti Harrison ('A Simple Favor').
