Why watch this film?
One of the pleasant surprises of 2021 cinema, this Angolan gem is one of those movies that already wins points for its premise. Here, director Fradique - considered one of the most interesting voices not only from Angolan cinema, but from all of Africa - hits the mark when telling the story of a man who needs to recover his boss's air conditioner after the appliances mysteriously start falling all over Luanda. Inventive, aesthetically intelligent and just the right size, with just a little over 70 minutes, 'Air Conditioner' is one of those movies that we don't expect anything from, but deep down we find a story full of layers and meanings to reflect on society and our behavior.

Plot summary
One day, air conditioners in the Angolan capital Luanda start to mysteriously fall from the buildings. When security guard Matacedo is told to get his overheating boss an airco unit by end of day, he embarks on a mission that brings him into contact with the eccentric owner of an electronics store.
