Why watch this film?
The Brazilian feature film 'Dois + Dois' is a remake of the Argentine comedy '2 mais 2', and it is a typical "8 or 80" movie. On one hand, director Marcelo Saback (who makes his directorial debut after writing scripts for 'Divã' and others) uses the classic format of national comedies to tell the story of a couple (Carol Castro and Marcelo Serrado) who start experimenting with open relationships and swingers. It is a humor without much delicacy and reminiscent of something already seen, for example, in 'De Pernas pro Ar' or 'Ninguém Entra, Ninguém Sai'. Lots of physical humor, stereotypical characters and a fun that arises from absurd situations. Those who liked this will also have fun in 'Dois + Dois'. However, those who expect a humor that arises gradually or that does not throw the joke in the lap, will be disappointed. You have to be in the mood to embark on Saback's proposal and forget a little bit how this story, original from this other Argentine film from 2012, arrives dated to Brazilian cinemas.
