Why watch this film?
As with any horror movie, 'The Dawn' has its issues, but that doesn't take away from the overall experience. The story is intriguing, following a young woman who moves into a convent after her entire family is murdered by her father at the start of World War I. However, she is still haunted by the demons of her past - literally. The cinematography is very good, fitting in perfectly with the atmosphere of the story. The acting is quite acceptable and the sound editing is great, contributing well to the building of terror.
