Why watch this film?
The franchise 'Ice Age' seemed destined for its complete end after the fifth film, 'Ice Age: The Big Bang', and mainly after Disney closed the animation studio Blue Sky, responsible for the stories of Manny, Sid and Diego. But the trajectory of these prehistoric animals returns in 'The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild', where the focus moves away from this beloved trio for generations and falls on a journey of the brothers Crash and Eddie, who decide to go on a solitary and mamut-less trip. More childish and simple, even with a noticeable drop in technical quality, 'The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild' should not please the oldest fans of the franchise, but rather please the youngest and smallest - mostly due to the childishness of these two main characters. However, there is good news for the older ones: Manny, Sid and Diego make appearances in inspired moments.

Plot summary
Desperate for some distance from their older sister Ellie, the thrill-seeking possum brothers Crash and Eddie set out to find a place of their own, but quickly find themselves trapped in the Lost World, a massive cave underground. They are rescued by their one-eyed pal, the adventure-loving, dinosaur-hunting weasel Buck Wild, and together embark on a mission to save the Lost World from dinosaur domination.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
