Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

A curious girl moves into an old mansion and discovers strange creatures revealing her dark side.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

With a screenplay by Guillermo del Toro, this remake of a classic horror has all the elements that make for an enjoyable dark tale: the old house, the curious child, the family drama and the ghostly mysteries. Katie Holmes ('Batman Begins') and Guy Pearce ('Memento') play a couple who move with his daughter to renovate a 19th century mansion. The feature also stars Bailee Madison ('Just Go With It'), who exudes cuteness at ten years old. As it is a 2010 movie, there are some effects that seem a bit dated to current eyes, but they do not interfere with the experience of a well-told story. A perfect production to please horror fans. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.
