Why watch this film?
This is the cinematic adaptation of the homonymous young adult novel, written by Venezuelan Ariana Godoy. Originally published independently on the Wattpad platform, 'A través de mi ventana' became a phenomenon, later being taken up by a major publisher, as happened with 'The Kissing Booth'. 'A través de mi ventana', however, is more similar in plot, tone and aesthetics to the 'After' saga. The story follows Raquel, who is madly in love with her neighbor, Ares, even without knowing him. Our protagonist sets out to make him fall in love with her, eventually developing a tumultuous relationship with the neighbor in the process. Fans of sagas like 'After' or '50 Shades of Grey' will find exactly what they like here, although those looking for something new in teen romance may want to pass.

Plot summary
Raquel is madly and irrevocably in love with Ares, her attractive and mysterious neighbour. The thing is, she has watched him from afar because, much to her dismay, they haven't exchanged a single word. But Raquel has a very clear mission: to make Ares fall in love with her. However, she is not an innocent, helpless girl and she is certainly not prepared to lose everything to achieve her goal, most importantly not herself.

In 2022, the Spanish romance "Through My Window" became a success among the audience by telling the story of Raquel, a young woman who is madly and irreversibly in love with Ares, her attractive and mysterious neighbor. From there, she needs to make him notice her as his neighbor and, perhaps, fall in love. A year later, the story continues in "Through My Window: Across the Sea." Following the same style as the previous film, which is expected to please franchise fans, the feature film follows the couple Raquel and Ares as they face a new phase in their relationship, with more challenges in their love life.
Through My Window: Looking at You
The conclusion of the Spanish romantic trilogy on Netflix, initiated with Through My Window and Through My Window: Across the Sea, based on the famous young adult romance novels by Ariana Gody, originally published on Wattpad. In the same vein as other young adult erotic sagas like After, the story of Through My Window: Looking at You (A través de tu mirada) begins with the central couple in ruins: Raquel (Clara Galle) and Ares (Julio Peña Fernández) have separated, taken different paths, and found new partners. However, a reunion during the Christmas holidays rekindles their feelings, and they must decide if they want to be together again. Nothing new that hasn't been seen in the previous two installments: a pair of visually appealing young actors in an intense romance, where the implausibility and clichés are overshadowed by the eroticism of the scenes. The film is suitable only for fans of the saga.

The plot of How to Date Billy Walsh is set in Britain, but follows the same formula as many other similar proposals from the United States: a guy, Archie, has been friends with Amelia since childhood, but secretly loves her. However, when he finally gathers the courage to confess, she falls for Billie Walsh, a handsome and athletic exchange student. The story is predictable and, except for a Netflix Sex Education-like layer of paint, there's not much new. However, it's a good contender for a Gen Z classic.
The Taste of Things
From Vietnamese-French director Anh Hung Tran (The Scent of Green Papaya) and starring the legendary Juliette Binoche and Benoît Magimel, The Taste of Things was France's selection for the 2024 Oscars, although it was not nominated. Set in 1889 and based on the character of Dodin-Bouffant created by Marcel Rouff, the story follows a chef (Magimel) enchanted by his cook (Binoche), for whom he feels not only culinary admiration, but genuine love. However, she is not ready to take the step into marriage and is happy and content with the relationship they have. Sensual in its visuality and narrative, it is a powerful story of love and about love, which, while not entirely breaking free from conventions, is elevated by the formidable talent of its protagonists.
