Why watch this film?
After 100 years of the São Paulo Modern Art Week, we finally have a celebration of Tarsila do Amaral's works in the cinema. The Brazilian animation 'Tarsilinha' dives into the universe of the plastic artist with a story about memories, which speaks very well with the way culture is treated in Brazil. From the same creators of 'Peixonauta' and 'O Show de Luna', the movie follows an eight-year-old girl who embarks on a journey through Tarsila's works to recover her mother's memories. Mixing 2D and 3D animation, the animation is great for children to learn a little more about Brazilian folklore and also about Tarsila do Amaral.
