Why watch this film?
"Emergency", the exclusive movie from Amazon Prime Video, starts off like any other teen-oriented situational comedy as it tells the story of three college students who, as they prepare for a party, must weigh the pros and cons of calling the police when faced with an unexpected situation. It looks like it's going to be more of the same. However, as it progresses, director Carey Williams' skill (‘R#J’) keeps the audience hooked on the story and, in the end, there's no way around it: you're surprised with a nice punch in the stomach. After all, more than this situational comedy that is hinted at in the beginning, "Emergency" shows that even in comic and fun situations, such as a party among friends, it is possible to find good doses of drama and suspense, causing a feeling of increasing anguish and frustration.
