Why watch this film?

The refugee crisis in Europe has been in the news for the past few years. But more than distant and cold news, the reality on the coast of Italy is very real in this documentary. A necessary portrait to understand the scale of what is happening - and for that reason, the film was nominated for an Oscar 2017 and won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
