Why watch this film?

Famous for sparking the ire of the ruler it parodies, The Interview is a political satire directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg ( This is the End) about a famous talk show host and his producer, who manage to score an interview with North Korea's Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un (Randall Park), only to be recruited by the CIA for an assassination mission. Controversy aside, this is a comedy very much in line with the usual work of Rogen and Goldberg: the humor can sometimes veer into adolescent territory, but the good performances from Rogen, Park, and James Franco, plus a script that dares to mock both a dangerous dictator and incompetent media outlets, make it worth a shot.
