Why watch this film?
Imagine getting stuck in a foreign country. Now imagine that same thing but during the COVID-19 pandemic and with someone you barely know. That's exactly what happened to Matt and Khani, the protagonists of The Longest Third Date, a man and a woman who were stranded in Costa Rica, the place of their third date, when the pandemic paralyzed the world and confronted them with the ultimate test of compatibility. It's an intriguing anecdote, although this Netflix documentary doesn't delve much into it. It's interesting out of curiosity to know how this story ends, but don't expect something with a lot of substance.

De Humani Corporis Fabrica
Focuses on five hospitals in northern Paris neighborhoods. It reveals that human flesh is an extraordinary landscape that exists only through the gaze and attention of others.

Wild Life
A sweeping portrait of conservationists Kris and Doug Tompkins chronicling their fight to preserve one of the last truly wild places on earth.

Victim/Suspect
Selected for the 2023 Sundance Festival, this Netflix exclusive documentary follows journalist Rachel "Rae" de León as she travels across the United States investigating a disturbing pattern: women are sexually abused and report it to the police, but are then accused of making false reports, arrested, and even imprisoned for it. Although Victim/Suspect falls into the exploitative trap of other Netflix documentaries about real crimes, the information presented here is well worth seeing to understand how institutionalized misogyny operates to perpetuate its own system.

Anna Nicole Smith: You Don't Know Me
Anna Nicole Smith, featuring never before seen footage of the iconic Playboy and Guess jeans model, who blazed a trail through the 90s before her tragic death at the age of 39.
