Why watch this film?
Created to commemorate the centenary of Stan Lee's birth (which took place in 2022), this is a biographical documentary that traces the life, career and legacy of the world's most famous comic book writer in his own words. Directed by David Gieb (Wolfgang: A Legendary Chef), Stan Lee: A Centennial Legend draws on archival material with interviews, movie clips and intimate home videos to reconstruct Lee's story, his inspirations and motivations. It's a bit idealistic and could delve deeper into his more controversial facets. But Marvel fans and comic book aficionados alike will very much enjoy it.

He is well known in the United States for working with celebrities and having his own TV show. The production shows his entire journey, which is quite emotional. Directed by David Gelb, 'Wolfgang' has beautiful cinematography and an engaging script that makes us want to know more about the chef.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return
Telling the untold story of one of the most beloved characters from 'Star Wars', in the 19-year gap between 'Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith' and 'Star Wars: A New Hope', Disney+'s series 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' was destined to be a success. Furthermore, the production brought back the actor who portrayed the character in the prequels, Ewan McGregor, alongside his Anakin Skywalker of the time, Hayden Christensen. In other words, the series sought to continue the franchise's huge legacy while telling a new story within the canon. Whether it succeeded or not is debatable, but it is true that it was a huge task to bring together the spirits of two 'Star Wars' trilogies, respecting what is already established and known by fans. 'Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return' is a documentary that narrates the whole process, with testimonies from McGregor and Christensen, but also from new cast members such as Moses Ingram and director Deborah Chow, who recount their connection with the iconic saga and their visions for their characters. If the series didn't interest you much, don't stop to watch the documentary. However, if you are a 'Star Wars' fan and like 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', this production will be a great complement for you.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
