Why watch this film?
How to Kill Mom is a Mexican movie that starts with a prickly premise: Rosalinda (Blanca Guerra) suffers from senile dementia, so she reaches out to her three estranged daughters (Diana Bovio, Ana Valeria Becerril and Ximena Sarinana) asking them to help her enjoy her last days of lucidity and end her life. Despite tackling the complex topic of euthanasia, the movie develops in a light-hearted, optimistic tone, generally following all the clichés of road movies. Thus, it ends up being an average comedy, but is made enjoyable thanks to the performances of its great female talents.
