Why watch this film?

A delightful musical comedy, Theater Camp has a simple plot: after Joan, the director of a camp, falls into a coma, her son will have to manage plans for the upcoming vacation spot. However, as the film's name suggests, it's not just any camp. Here, children and teenagers will put on a musical theater production. With clever humor that delves mainly into the quirks and complexities of the musical world, Theater Camp skillfully jokes about absurd situations in a style that emulates the functions and languages of a documentary, like Modern Family or The Office, but without the interviews. An enjoyable surprise.
