It's undeniable that through franchises like Rambo, Rocky, and The Expendables, Sylvester Stallone has established himself as one of the legends of Hollywood action cinema. Taking its title from the actor's nickname, 'Sly' is a straightforward biographical documentary that provides an overview of his life and career, featuring testimonials from the actor himself as well as from other colleagues and admirers, such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Quentin Tarantino. This Netflix production should be taken for what it is: a tribute to the action icon that won't offer much new to those familiar with his story or provide in-depth analysis. Nevertheless, if you're a fan of Stallone and his career, you'll enjoy it.
