Why watch this film?

Based on Neil Gaiman's story 'How to Talk to Girls at Parties', this namesake production is a film whose atmosphere is undeniably inspired by cult classics of the genre, such as 'High Fidelity' and 'Almost Famous'. At times, the feature-length film tries too hard to look like these titles, but its crazy premise, the young Elle Fanning's talent and Nicole Kidman's intervention justify taking a peek. Not to mention, of course, the youthful tone given to the rock'n'roll universe - as seen in 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' - which gives the film a special difference.
