Why watch this film?

Using the "found footage" technique, 'The Blair Witch Project' maximizes the feeling of fear by seeming like a real event which, although not the first of its kind, was the most effective. The movie was a hit with audiences and ended up popularizing the resource in the horror genre from then on, such as '[Rec]' and 'Paranormal Activity' as examples. At the time of its theatrical release, the low-budget production earned $10 for every dollar invested, making it one of the most profitable feature films in history.
