Friday the 13th

A group of counselors reopen a summer camp where a child drowned and are stalked by a killer.

Why watch this film?

Along with 'Halloween' by John Carpenter, 'Friday the 13th' is considered to be the starting point of the slasher subgenre, in which violent psychopaths commit a series of bloody and sharp-weaponed murders. Although it may seem harmless to today's eyes, it is a true horror classic, starter of a long franchise and, indirectly, creator of one of the most iconic villains of the genre: Jason Voorhees. Obviously, pay attention to the twist at the end: the killer is not who you think.
