Why watch this film?
More than 25 years after the popular big-screen adaptation, 'The Addams Family' returns, but now in animated form. Though directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan ('Sausage Party'), the film was made with children in mind - sacrificing some of the characters' dark humor in favor of a more family-friendly message. What should please both old and new fans alike is that Charles Addams' iconic style has been very well adapted to the world of 3D animation, not to mention the star-studded original voice cast - featuring Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, Chloë Grace Moretz, Allison Janney, and even Snoop Dogg.

In a scene usually dominated by colorful Pixar adventures, DreamWorks' funny stories and Disney's sugary fantasies, it is refreshing to see a true animated social satire entirely aimed at adults, co-produced and distributed by one of the biggest studios. Subtlety and refined humor are not characteristics of 'Sausage Party' and, although it is obviously rude most of the time, it has surprising touches of hilarious metaphysical concepts. Even though it is a production that criticizes consumerism, and has a paradoxical tone for being a massive product created by a studio, it is one of the most unusual animated films Hollywood has offered us so far in the 21st century.

Robot Dreams
Sometimes we get so carried away by the marketing power of studios like Disney Pixar, and we overlook other avenues for deep and powerful animated stories that don't need excessively complex plots to evoke emotions. Such is the case with Robot Dreams, a Hispanic-French production directed by Pablo Berger (2012’s Snow White), based on the eponymous graphic novel by Sara Varon. Set in New York during the 80s, the story follows Dog, whose solitary life leads him to buy a robot for companionship. Their friendship grows, but an unfortunate day at the beach forces them to separate and long for the day of their reunion. Virtually without dialogue, with vibrant animation and a captivating visual language, the film tells a simple yet profoundly moving story about (curiously) human relationships and the course they take despite (or because of) accidents, fortuitous circumstances, and uncontrollable events that happen throughout life.
Masha and the Bear: Twice the Fun
Masha leaves the forest in pursuit of an adventure in the city, where she encounters many unexpected situations and surprises while attending a wedding, and later seeks to do everything in her power to save Christmas.
