Trailer
Why watch this film?
After directing the first movie of the saga, Chris Columbus returns behind the cameras of 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'. Although the director's childlike tone remains, showing a style reminiscent of 1980s Afternoon Session classics, the saga already has a more youthful feel and, above all, there is an aggravation in the clash of the two franchise rivals: Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. In addition, it begins to explore even more the personalities of the three protagonists, Harry, Ron and Hermione, and deepen the participation of characters such as Hagrid and Dumbledore. It is the consolidation of the formula and stories seen in the first movie, gaining momentum and reaching new audiences.

The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two
Kurt Russell is back as Santa Claus in this Christmas adventure and, this time, he is joined by Goldie Hawn as Mrs. Claus. The actors acted together for the first time in 'Overboard' from 1987, and years later they showed that they still have an excellent chemistry on screen. This sequel managed to keep the magic of the first movie and leave the way open for another production. 'The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two' is a spirited, lighthearted, and realistic production, despite being fanciful. A downside of the movie is its length, it could be shorter since it doesn't have such a complex script that requires two hours to be solved.

Pixels
Imagine Chris Columbus (director of 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', 'The Perfect Nanny') directing Adam Sandler in a videogame movie. The result is 'Pixels', a strange but fun feature film. Here, aliens understand that a message with videogames is a declaration of war. From then on, they attack Earth using these games as models for their various offensives. Salvation ends up focusing on Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), a champion of video game competitions in the 80s to lead a team of veteran players (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad), defeat the aliens and save the planet. It's a fun movie, although it never decides between nostalgia and silliness, which should entertain everyone from the youngest to the oldest. After all, despite Adam Sandler in the cast, it's a light and friendly comedy, as Columbus has become accustomed to doing. Oh, and be sure to pay attention to the references to classic games.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was the litmus test for the magical world created by JK Rowling on the big screen. And, thankfully, it was a great success. Director Chris Columbus drew inspiration from his experience with family-friendly children's stories such as "Home Alone" and "Mrs. Doubtfire" to create an introduction to the magical world of Harry Potter worthy of the books. There are childlike adventures, a school atmosphere, and above all, moments of true enchantment, such as the plots against Professor Snape, Quidditch training, and levitation classes. It is the lightest movie in the franchise and serves as an invitation to people of all ages to enter the magical corridors of Hogwarts Castle.

Stepmom
"Stepmom" was a very popular movie in the Afternoon Session in the 2000s, and one of the saddest too. It's hard not to be moved by the relationship built by the characters of Susan Sarandon, nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance, and Julia Roberts. What starts as a female dispute becomes a very beautiful friendship, showing that women need to unite - even in the most unexpected situations. It is recommended to watch with a tissue, because crying is almost inevitable in "Stepmom".

Merry Little Batman
Charming animation, originally created for Cartoon Network and later sold to Amazon, Merry Little Batman is a different kind of story from what we're used to with the bat-hero. After all, it focuses on young Damian Wayne. The boy, alone in Wayne Manor on Christmas Eve, transforms into the "Little Batman" to defend Gotham City from villains who want to spoil the holiday festivities. Different and creative, it's a film that only reinforces how versatile and enjoyable Batman can be.
