32 Malasana Street

A family moves to a new house in the big city, but it turns into a nightmare.

Why watch this film?

Production from Spain, 'Malasaña 32' has absolutely nothing to do with the good batch of Spanish suspense productions, such as 'El Cuerpo' or 'Um Contratempo'. Here, Albert Pintó's direction follows all possible clichés of the genre: the haunted house that scares the family, the obvious editing, predictable scares. Nothing that a 'Horror in Amityville', 'Paranormal Activity' or 'The Conjuring' hasn't done better. Nevertheless, 'Malasaña 32' still manages to entertain and, if watched with friends or in a group, can generate some laughs with the easy scares and the somewhat banal plot. It's not excellent, nor is it a memorable horror. But the fun can be guaranteed.
