This typical French comedy is everything you could expect from it. It features three well-acted protagonists by Daniel Auteuil, Bernard Le Coq and Catherine Frot, an unexpected love triangle between middle-aged neighbors and a subtle plot full of delicacies that makes you sigh and laugh in equal measure. Although José Alcala's script and direction are chaotic, mixing stories and confusing some explanations, the final feeling with the film is positive. Those who are already fans of French comedies will be enchanted by the characters' libertarian spirit and feel lighter with the plot. An ideal movie to pass the time and imagine yourself in a small French town in the countryside.

Plot summary
Gilbert and Simone live a restless retreat in a village in the South of France. The departure of Étienne, her neighbor and lover, the lack of money, but especially the constant bitterness of her husband, push Simone to flee the home. Gilbert then realizes that he is ready to do anything to find his wife, his love.
