"Filmmaker François Ozon shifts gears from his last feature, the intimate drama 'The Refuge,' to a seemingly frivolous comedy. However, 'Potiche: Women in Power' is a great movie that satirizes traditional gender roles, and in turn demonstrates how outdated they are today (much to the chagrin of their defenders). If none of this convinces you, it should suffice to mention the presence of two French cinema legends: Catherine Deneuve and Gérard Depardieu. Not to mention that the film was nominated for the prestigious Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, a BAFTA, and four César Awards."
