Why watch this film?
"Betonrausch" is a movie about the explosion of large construction and mega engineering projects after (or even during) major financial crises, often at any cost. One of the first Netflix productions made in Germany, it tells the story of greed and ambition, in the style of 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and 'The Laundromat', but within a contemporary European context. It's a feature full of excesses, but with a conventional narrative, and with good performances from David Kross ('The Reader'), Emily Goss ('Criminal Minds') and Frederick Lau ('The Wave').
