Why watch this film?
We could cite many series that, after their original trajectory on a traditional television network, were rescued by Netflix, with very varied results. However, none compare to the case of 'La casa de papel', a Spanish series that ended up alongside titles like 'Stranger Things' and 'Ozark' in the Olympus of the most popular productions on the world's largest streaming platform. With interviews with the creators and cast, 'La casa de papel: El fenómeno' narrates the initial fall of the series, and its resurgence as a phoenix that flies high in popular culture, with an impact that made the series a kind of heir to 'V for Vendetta' (with the red jumpsuit and Salvador Dalí masks in place of Guy Fawkes) as symbols of the generation that went through the financial crisis of 2008.

Through a select group of girls participating in a federal government simulation in Missouri, this film reveals, firstly, how American politics operates. But secondly, and more importantly, it explores how an environment supposedly empowering girls can both propel and limit them at the same time, raising questions about what we understand about power and the ways to exercise it.

Documentaries about the climate crisis are never too many, but sometimes it can be challenging to find one that presents its arguments in a different and memorable way. Earth Protectors is a worthy attempt. Directed by French artist and environmental activist Anne de Carbuccia, it artistically documents her 10-year journey around the world exploring the impact of climate change in various countries, as well as the solutions undertaken to empower global citizens and address the crisis. At times, de Carbuccia and her works take more prominence than necessary, but she manages to present vital information.
