Why watch this film?

With a career already established, French filmmaker Michel Ocelot has a trademark: simple lines, without much elaboration, set against colorful backgrounds. This was the case in 'Kiriku and the Witch', in 'Princes and Princesses' and now in 'Dilili à Paris'. Here, however, the director's ambition goes beyond that: the settings are photographs of Paris, where the plot takes place, with small animated changes to adapt the city today with days from the past. From this, like in a kind of 'Midnight in Paris', the little protagonist of the film begins to talk to great names of the arts and sciences of France to find a group of criminals. It is an innocent movie, almost too much, which should work for parents and children. After all, on the one hand, the older ones will have fun seeing and identifying French personalities. Already the younger ones should be enchanted with the young Dilili and still find a production that goes beyond the status quo of the children's audience today.
