Why watch this film?

Reminiscent of 'Ferrugem', Aly Muritiba's feature film, 'Luna' is a highly acclaimed national feature film that also delves into strong themes such as loneliness, depression, and exposure on the internet. Here, director Cris Azzi (of the celebrated 'O Dia do Galo') tells the story of Luna, a lonely teenager who eventually identifies with the loneliness of another girl in her school. However, the relationship becomes explosive - and somewhat unpredictable - when the protagonist has her intimacy exposed on the internet. Sensitive, the feature film is not for everyone. After all, the theme is delicate and many people may feel directly affected by what is told there. However, besides this, Azzi makes a true drama-denunciation to show the paths that youth can follow in extreme and amplified situations by the internet. 'Luna', by the way, was celebrated and nominated for Best Film at the Rio Festival.
